Agents and Check Points
An agent is our server that performs the check. Agents are located in different countries, so we see your site the way visitors from those places see it: a problem with a specific provider or blocking in one region will not go unnoticed.
How many agents participate in the check
On the free plan, each check is performed from one agent, on PRO — from three at once. Multiple points at the same time give a more reliable result: a single network failure on the way to one of the agents will not be mistaken for your service going down.
Agent list
The «Agents» section shows all available check points, their names, IP addresses, and current status. The row is highlighted in color, so problematic agents are immediately visible.

| The agent is operating normally | No errors, checks are being performed. |
| The agent has problems | Some requests end in error. The agent continues to work, but results from it may be delayed. |
| The agent has been temporarily removed from the pool | Too many errors — checks are not distributed to it until it recovers. |
| Agent temporarily disabled | The agent is unavailable entirely, for example during maintenance. |
IP addresses for whitelist
Next to each agent are listed the addresses from which requests come. They will be useful if your server is closed by a firewall, accessible only to trusted networks, or returns an error to unfamiliar addresses — add these addresses to the exceptions, otherwise the check will fail, although the service itself works.
Selecting points in a task
By default, the task is executed from any available agents. On the PRO plan, you can limit the list in the task settings — the field «Allowed check points». This is useful when a service is designed for a specific region or, conversely, when it is important to check it from a distance.
Next to each agent name there is a protocol support label: IPv6 — the agent can check via IPv6, IPv4 only — only via IPv4. If your domain has an AAAA record, keep at least one agent with IPv6 support in the list, otherwise there will be no one to check the address.
How to view the result for each agent
On the task page in the event log, you can expand the row and see what each agent responded with individually. This makes it clear whether the service failed completely or is just not visible from one country. For details, see the section «Task page overview».
